Hey there,
since I am already used to getting weekly deliveries of fresh organic fruit at work, three weeks ago I decided to order organic food from Gut Wulksfelde http://shop.gut-wulksfelde.de to my home, too. It is an awesome concept, as you can match the different parts as you prefer.
I ordered a fruit box worth € 7 and a vegetable box worth € 10. Then I added a loaf of bread and two types of cheese. Altogether it adds up to € 27 each week. Since my boyfriend and I live together it is the perfect amount of fresh food and I do not have to buy any more in the supermarket.
There are plenty advantages:
1. Free delivery: When you order food that is worth more than € 25 altogether, the delivery is free (otherwise it is € 2,50).
2. Organic food provides a healthy eating: As I am a student, I prefer to buy the cheap products in the supermarket, which are often treated with chemical substances and may cause allergic reactions.
3. Mix and match: You have the opportunity to choose every single thing you like or get a box with mostly locally produced food that is arranged for you. I prefer the box alternative. It makes me eat more balanced, which is even healthier.
4. Weekly delivery: To have an accessable amount of fruit and vegetables at home is a great thing. I now eat more fruit and cook more different vegetables. Also, we eat salad multiple times a week.
5. Delivery even when you are not at home: Gut Wulksfelde has a key for our house door and leaves the boxes in front of our flat door. I am always happily surprised by the mix. Thursday is Gut Wulksfelde day! When I come home from work or Uni, fresh food awaits me :)
6. Unusual vegetables improve my cooking creativity: Lately, I had some cabbage in my box and cooked a great stew, which reminded me of my mum’s cooking – feels like home.
To sum up: Gut Wulksfeeeldeee… I’m loving it! :)
